Violent Pleasure
No Escaping
Just sit there.
And force yourself to feel joy.
Not casually.
Not restlessly.
Not as an escape.
Not as consumption.
Not as stimulation.
Just the pure pleasure of being.
Here. Now.
Not later.
Not mindfully.
Not mindlessly.
Consciously,
Consistently.
The intensity!
Takes a lot of resolve.
To witness your own heartbeat
And marvel at the magic of it.
To savor the breath.
To melt in the echos.
To feel how much art there is
In synchronizing
The beat of the heart,
With the beat of the lungs.
With the beat of the world.
This one comes free,
Just got to get to it.
It's our birthright.
Take it back,
Fiercely,
Violently.
Right now!
