Unreplicable

Not Just an Echo

transformationattentionembodiment

“I am just a copy of a copy of a copy
Everything I say has come before
Assembled into something into something into something
I don’t know for certain anymore

I am just a shadow of a shadow of a shadow
Always trying to catch up with my self
I am just an echo of an echo of an echo
Listening to someone’s cry for help”

- Trent, Copy of A

All of our knowledge and teaching,
All of our insights are lies.
Not because we need to lie to ourselves
But because every story unavoidably is a lie.
Language can never fully express the complexity of life.
What happens in the moment, stays in the moment.

Healing and integration often crystalize stories of what happened in the past.
Some of it takes days, some decades, some perhaps multiple lifetimes.
Those insights are valuable.
But the integration and healing are not just insights.
They are the real thing.
Words are never the real thing.
We tend to forget that.

Stories can sometimes capture the form.
But they never fully capture the content.
That’s why the most effective practices of healing cannot be reduced to a method.
No pill can replace the medicine man.
No advice can replace the touch of a coherent nervous system.

Every identity as described by language is also false.
You are not a story.
You are not a set of insights and beliefs.
You are not inputs and outputs.
You are not a piece of technology.

You are what’s emerging.
You are life itself:
Irreducible,
Irreplaceable,
Unreplicable.
