Natural Intelligence
Trigger Warming
A door stands open, inviting you through.
Little do you know that once you cross the threshold,
there is no returning to the prior you.
An invisible attraction like a magnetic field.
The edge that pulls you while vertigo reels.
The contact is disruptive
Yet staying hurts more than leaning in.
Truth arrives as an invasive species.
The wound opens. The future enters.
The fruiting body triggered by the spore
erupts inside your core.
The nervous system recognizes threat,
succumbs unable to resist it.
Immunity attacks what isn’t recognized.
The mind behaves the same.
The old self thinks growth is betrayal.
The seed cannot foresee the tree.
Abortion of the cancerous gaslight that you called life.
Too late for fear to stop you. Or the pain.
As you drink the putrid truth you can’t resist,
every sip intoxicates and unravels what has been.
You’re sinking deeper into the mutation.
Screaming resistance peels your skin,
Your insides churn and turn to goo.
No time for decoration. Absorb the transformation.
When life hardens you too early,
you first must shatter to outgrow.
A nervous system conditioned into self-betrayal
finds that love burns more than it warms.
You recoil from expansion and hide from aliveness.
Yet something moves. Your cocoon is not protection.
It’s digestion.
Your limitations will dissolve away.
The wings will grow. So will the horns.
You can’t resist, exterminate, or purge,
Powerless you remain against the urge.
P.S.
The transformation is not reserved for chosen few.
The same end calls for me and you.
The end of old. The birth of new.
Dragons will stand among the lucky true.
First one will soar alone. And then the rest will follow.
The birth of flight to the outskirts of the bright.
The trigger is the gift. The pain - the doorway.
The fear - the light beyond the plight.
The fractal wave of coherence is our birth right.
