The Helm of Dustiny
Alignment and orientation
"Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever"
-James, Unforgiven III
This year the theme of Burning Man is Tomorrow Today and my camp decided to be pirates. So I asked myself: what's it going to take to bring tomorrow into today?
The answer: the Helm of Dustiny.
This is my humble attempt to bring about the future.
For years, I was pulled off course by trauma
and chasing the lights that weren't mine.
Perhaps this can be my compass—
to find alignment (the center is in the center)
and orientation (the center is everywhere).
If you happen to be in a dusty place at the end of the summer pass by the Stardust Cove @ 8:15 & Cherryh and steer your becoming. I left space for you to add your affirmations to mine.
Don't join the navy if you can be a pirate!
My intentions:
No more performing
No more pretending
No more hiding
No more holding back
No more chasing
No more shrinking in the spotlight
No more betraying the path
Enough.
The boy burns in 10 days.
On the Playa!
