Solar Plexus Chakra: identity
You chose me
Healing isn’t just abstract — it lives in the body. This series is my attempt to map the lessons of trauma and wholeness onto the seven chakras, weaving together wounds, affirmations, and practices for each one.
Element: Fire
IDENTITY · CHOICE · AGENCY · SELF-DETERMINATION · FREEDOM · VALUES · ASSERTIVENESS · FOCUS · AGGRESSION · ACTION · CONFIDENCE · EXCELLENCE · WILLPOWER · SELF-ACCEPTANCE · WHOLENESS

The solar plexus is the forge of the self. This is where raw energy becomes directed will, where choice becomes action, where the “I” takes form and moves into the world. It’s where your inner fire burns—not to consume you, but to illuminate your path and fuel your purpose.
When this chakra is strong, you stand in your own authority. You know who you are, and you live in alignment with what you value most. You act from the deep truth of your own agency. You don’t give your power away, nor do you try to steal it from others—you generate it from within.
A healthy solar plexus allows you to choose boldly, to pursue your goals without apology, and to walk into challenges with self-trust. It’s the fire that says, I decide. It’s the flame that shapes the metal of your life into a blade sharp enough to cut through fear, shame, and the expectations of others.
Ailments: shame, control, submissiveness, bullying, people-pleasing, codependence.
Other symbols: ouroboros
Blocked by: shame
Targeted by: mockery, belittling, and put-downs
Affirmations:
I know who I am.
I make the choices.
Life is my own, I live it my own way.
I don’t belong to anyone but me.
I take my needs and desires seriously and prioritize them.
I set and enforce boundaries.
I take responsibility for my actions.
I expect others to take responsibility for theirs.
I trust myself.
I let others be themselves.
I know what I value. My values drive my choices.
I give up attachment to what doesn’t serve me.
I am the master of my mind and body.
I generate myself.
I am who I am.
I accept and welcome all my parts.
I am a beautiful person.
I don’t do things because I “should” but because I want to and choose to.
I am the pilot of my ship.
I am the flame, not the moth.
