Post Doing

You Won't Disappear

identityculturetransformation

Discomfort or uncertainty arises.
Mind seeks structure or measurable output.

Action produces temporary relief.
Identity becomes tied to productivity.
Stillness becomes threatening.

Achievement brings relief,
Optimization - a sense of control,
Productivity feels like worthiness.

Our desire for quantification,
Compulsion for efficiency,
Quest for scalability,
It’s a race to the bottom.

Relationships can not be accelerated,
Healing cannot be shortcut,
Creativity cannot be measurable,
Identity is not scalable.

Value is not the same as performance,
You can’t replace meaning with momentum,
And collaboration with control.

Performance is an addiction,
Productivity is a dissociation,
Optimization is avoidance.

We need less doing and more being,
Less optimization and more attunement,
Less speed and more depth.
Less talking and more touch.

Technology transforms one thing to another.
But we need to embrace the void instead
And co-create our evolution.

Enough transformation.
Time for generation.

Become
What you needed
And never had.

Have no fear,
You won’t disappear,
When you stop doing.

You don’t stop being,
When you stop doing,
You start being,
When you stop doing.

Exhale and pause.

That’s all it takes
To break the loop of death
And exit the machine.
